He replaced Eddie Johnson in the 91st minute. On February 9, 2010 Elm got his goal of the season for Fulham scoring the second goal in the 3-0 win at home against Burnley and also played in the assist to Danny Murphy for Fulham’s first goal. After his 2009/10 season he was signed an extension of his contract that runs until the conclusion of the season 2011-12.

He was transferred to Superettan Club Falkenbergs FF on a free transfer in 2004. After his arrival the club quickly established him as the team’s first choice. Through his playing career, Elm scored a total of 14 goals in his 68 matches. Elm was released from Falkenbergs FF for Allsvenskan club Kalmar FF at the end of the 2006 season.

Elm was bought by Elfsborg because they had recently sold their top striker Denni Avdic to Werder Bremen for around £2,500,000 – £3,000,000.
