David Broll (born January 4 1993) is an Canadian professional hockey player. He currently plays for the Coventry Blaze in the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL). Broll was chosen as a player by Toronto Maple Leafs in the sixth round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. A free agent from the Lightning following the expiration of his entry-level contract, Broll was unable to obtain a second NHL contract. On September 21 the 21st of September, 2016 the player signed a pro trial contract to participate in training camp with the Montreal Canadiens training camp. The contract was extended to a one-year deal with the ECHL affiliate known as the Brampton Beast on September 27 on the 27th of September, 2016. In the days prior to playing with the Beast, Broll was signed to a try-out contract for professional players for 2017 with Canadiens AHL affiliate known as The St. John’s IceCaps. After playing 43 games for the IceCaps, Broll signed to an extension of one year to the season 2017-18 on February 16th on the 16th of February, 2017.

The 2014-15 campaign, Broll was assigned to remain with the Toronto Marlies of the AHL. After 21 games of no scoring for the Marlies, Broll was assigned to ECHL affiliate the Orlando Solar Bears on December 8th the 8th of December, 2014. While playing for the Solar Bears, Broll was traded by the Maple Leafs along with Carter Ashton to the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for a seventh- round selection in the conditional seventh round during the 2015 NHL Entry Draft on February 6 the 6th of February, 2015.
