Dave Norton is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on March 3, 1965 in Cannock, England, United Kingdom. David Wayne Norton (born 3 March 1965) is an ex-professional footballer who was a midfielder.

Following surgery, David was capable of playing again at a non-league level. After departing Hereford United signed for Cheltenham Town to help them to win their Football Conference but because he was a victim of an insurance payment for the injury, he was not allowed to participate when the club was elevated into the Football League. He was then transferred to Yeovil Town and then to Forest Green Rovers where he was appointed joint manager with the former England national Nigel Spink. He played a key role in leading Forest Green to the 2001 FA Trophy final where they were defeated by Canvey Island at Villa Park. He also played for Tamworth and, finally, Gainsborough Trinity.

He was a three-year resident with Boothferry Park before entering a two-year period in the lowest division of the league in Northampton Town in 1994. He was signed by Hereford United in 1996, however, he had to bear the disappointment of being relegated from the Football League the following year and was forced to retire shortly thereafter because of an injuries.

His first professional job was in Aston Villa, where he started as an apprentice after leaving school in summer 1981. He went on to become a pro two years after. He was debuting his First Division debut in a 3-1 away victory over Coventry City on 19 January 1985, just weeks prior to his birthday. He played in 20 league games during the 1985-86 and 1986-87 seasons.
