Daur Arshba is one of the most popular and richest Diplomat who was born on March 28, 1962 in Tkvarcheli, Georgia. Daur Arshba (Russian: Daur Arshba born on March 28, 1962) is a politician from Abkhazia. He is the head of the presidential administration who was named by the President Raul Khajimba on October 10, 2016 and is also the Chairman of the pro-government forum for the Abkhazian National Unity. He been the vice-president of the People’s Assembly and as Head of Tkvarcheli District. In the wake of the death of Gennadi Gagulia, on the 8th of September 2018. Arshba became the acting Prime Minister for Abkhazia which that he held until the 18th of September 2018.
Arshba was among the founders of the Forum for the National Unity of Abkhazia (FNUA), established on February 8, 2005 to unify 12 opposition groups who had backed Raul Khajimba during the presidential election of October 2004. After the FNUA was transformed into a social-political organization on the 10th of October, 2005 Arshba got elected as one the three co-chairmen. On the 6th of March, 2008, the FNUA became a political party, in which Arshba was one of the two co-chairmen.
On 12 May 2010, the FNUA decided to reduce the number of its Chairmen from 2 to 1 and elected Raul Khajimba as its party head, while Arshba became one of his two deputies.
In the March 2012 elections, Arshba switched to constituency no. 25 (Beslakhuba). He won a narrow 35.77% first round plurality against two other candidates, but was defeated by Yuri Zukhba in the run-off.
On the 31st of March, 2003, Arshba was named the director of the Tkvarcheli District by President Vladislav Ardzinba. He succeeds Valeri Kharchilava who had announced his decision to step down at the time of 27th. He was succeeded by the successor of Ardzinba Sergei Bagapsh in 2005.
