Darren Sheridan is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on December 8, 1967 in Stretford, England, United Kingdom. Darren Stephen Sheridan (born 8 December 1967) is an English former manager and football player. As an athlete, Sheridan played as a center midfielder. He also played as manager of players, working with Barrow before he became manager of Salford City.
He was in 1999 when he assigned in 1999 to Wigan Athletic where there were 58 games played and scored three goals. He also endured two consecutive play-off losses within Division Two (one in the final) before joining forces with his brother John who plays for Wigan’s regional rivals Oldham Athletic. He was released from Oldham Athletic for Clyde of Scotland in the year 2004.
Immediately after leaving Barrow, Sheridan signed for Radcliffe Borough of the Northern Premier League Division One North, with whom he had played as a youngster. After a month, he stepped back up to the Conference North, signing with Droylsden. Sheridan played with Droylsden till the end of the 2011–12 season.
In the 2011–12 season Sheridan made only two league appearances as a player for Barrow, whilst the club enjoyed mid-table stability in the league. Following allegations made against Sheridan, he was suspended from Barrow on 3 February 2012. It was announced on 11 February that he had left Barrow by mutual consent, with Darren Bayliss remaining as sole manager of the club.
After a brief stint in non-league football , he relocated to Barnsley and participated at the Premier League in 1997-98. Then, he was with Wigan Athletic and Oldham Athletic before moving into Scotland over the course of three years at Clyde as well as St Johnstone. He returned in England to join Conference North Barrow in January 2007. Barrow on January 7, 2007 and was promoted to co-manager alongside Dave Bayliss in December 2007. As co- managers, Sheridan and Bayliss achieved promotion from the Conference North through play-offs during their first season and winning the FA Trophy in 2010. Sheridan quit the club due to private reasons back in February of 2012. After a brief time at Radcliffe Borough, Sheridan joined Droylsden of the Conference North.

Sheridan was born in Stretford, Lancashire and was an apprentice at Leeds United but was released and then had a break from the sport. In the 1987-88 season , he was a player for Mossley playing in six games before changing into Curzon Ashton. At the end of summer 1992,, he was signed by Winsford United where the club received five awards during the 1992-93 campaign – The NPL Challenge Cup, NPL President’s Cup, Cheshire Senior Cup, Mid-Cheshire Senior Cup and NPL Runners Up Cup. They was also second in the league to Southport and their total points is the record for most points scored and they did not win the Northern Premier League title.
He signed with Barnsley at the age of 23 for an estimated PS10,000, and helped Barnsley to gain promotion into the Premier League in 1997. He played for them during their sole top flight season so far (1997-98) in addition to having assisted the club reach their first FA Cup quarter-final that year. He played as an extra in Barnsley’s shocking FA Cup win over Manchester United in the fifth round.
Sheridan spent one season at Clyde, scoring twice in 29 games, before moving to St Johnstone, where he made 42 goalless appearances in 18 months, after which he moved south of the border to play non-League football for Barrow. He was hired as joint manager alongside Dave Bayliss in December 2007 following a successful run as caretaker managers, and took the team to promotion to the Conference National following a twenty-game unbeaten run. Sheridan continued to play for the club whilst managing, as Barrow managed to retain their Conference National status in the 2008/09 season. Along with Bayliss he continued the good work with the Cumbrian side in 2009–10 as Barrow yet again stayed up finishing a respectable 15th. Barrow also won the FA Trophy beating league champions Stevenage Borough 2–1 at Wembley Stadium to claim the non- league knockout competition. He continued to be a regular during the 2010–11 season, as Barrow secured their longest spell in the Conference National since its formation as the Alliance Premier League in 1979.
