Darian Hagan (born January 1st 1970) is an former American footballer and Canadian footballer, who, as of February 2005, has been an assistant coach for the University of Colorado Buffaloes football team.

Prior to his final season Hagan completed his degree at Colorado with the degree of bachelor’s in sociology. As his professional football career was over, Hagan turned to jobs in marketing, and later coaching. He was hired as the technical intern for the defensive team at the end of 2004 in Colorado. In the following year He was hired to work for Gary Barnett as an offensive assistant coach. In 2006 the year he was among two assistant coaches hired by the new director of football Dan Hawkins as the running backs assistant coach. He is still to this day.

Hagan was admitted into the University of Colorado Athletic Hall of Fame in 2002. Hagan is also regarded by many former students as the most successful footballer in CU time. He ended his playing career with 3,801 passing yards in addition to 2,007 running yards.

The record of his quarterback in Colorado is 28-5-5 (20-0-1 during the Big Eight). In Heisman Trophy selection, he finished 5th in 1989, scoring 242 points. 17th place in the year 1990 with 17 points, and 20th in 1991 when he scored 12 points.

After graduation, Hagan was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the ninth round of the 1992 NFL Draft, but never ever played for the team. He was a part of the Canadian Football League for three teams that included The Toronto Argonauts (1993-94), the Las Vegas Posse (1994) as well as the Edmonton Eskimos (1995-96). He was primarily defensive back, and also on special teams.
