born to Brian Foxhoven and Bunny Foxhoven, Danielle was raised in Littleton, Colorado. She played and attended J.K. Mullen High School in Denver and was awarded numerous honors and awards throughout her time there. Foxhoven was awarded the High School Athletic Association Player of the Year in 2006 and 2007 Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News Player of the Year in 2007. Portland Pilots women’s soccer team and ended her collegiate career in fourth place on the all-time scoring list of the team with 25 assists and 57 goals (139 points). In her first season Foxhoven was the top scorer for the Pilots as well as in the West Coast Conference (WCC) in scoring, scoring six assists and 16 goals with a total score of 38 points. 5 of the goals and an assist were scored in the Husky/Nike Invitational Tournament in Seattle where she was awarded Top Drawer Soccer National Player of the Week as well as WCC Player of the Week distinctions. Foxhoven was named as a Soccer America and Top Drawer Soccer First Team Freshman All-American, as well as WCC the Freshman of the Year. In her sophomore year Foxhoven’s 62 points equaled fourth in school history. After finishing in third place during the regular season, the Thorns clinched the league championship title after defeating regular season leaders Western New York Flash 2–0. Thorns head coach Cindy Parlow Cone said of Foxhoven’s performance during the season, “Serving as one of our main options off the bench, Dani worked her way into the starting lineup later in the season and played an important role in helping us win the championship in our first season.” Foxhoven finished the season having made appearances in 21 games with 8 starts and ranked fifth on the team in points.
