Daniela Hamaui is one of the most popular and richest Journalist who was born on November 21, 1954 in Cairo, Cairo Governorate, Egypt. Daniela Hamaui (born 21 November 1954) is an Italian journalist and director of Rome magazine L’Espresso between 2002 and 2010.
Prior to her work at L’espresso prior to that, she was the first editor of the journal D – la Repubblica delle donne which was published from 1996 by The newspaper La Repubblica. Hamaui has expressed her concerns regarding the legislation on telecommuncations that was introduced in the Berlusconi administration and has proposed the provision that temporarily bans owners of television stations (including Berlusconi) from buying up print media companies.
On the 15th of July, 2010, it was reported that Hamaui was to serve as the editor-in-chief for the publication La Repubblica. Her replacement was Bruno Manfellotto as the editor-in-chief of L’Espresso.

Hamaui is a native of Cairo, Egypt. She received an associate diploma in literary studies (with particularization in the teaching profession) in the Universita Statale di Milano. in 1978, and later completed her studies in Milan’s Institute for Journalism Training in Milan.
She began to write in the pages of La Repubblica, Corriere della Sera, as well as the cultural pages from Il Sole 24 ore. In 1995, she was appointed editor of the magazine CentoCose produced through Arnoldo Mondadori Editore.
