Krager was a student at Angelo State University where he was the first player in school time with 30 career sacks. Krager completed his college career in the ninth spot on the list of tackles made by the school’s career players. As a freshman in 1999 Krager established his own Angelo State single-season record of 15 sacks. He was also named an early season All-American during the year 2000. In 2001 He was a first-team Daktronics Little All-American, and co- Defensive Player of year selection, after completing the season with 96 sacks as well as eight sacks. He was named a First-team All-LoneStar Conference pick in the year 2001. He also threw the javelin to the team’s State track and field team.
