Daniel Benjamin Prestup (born November 13th 1984) is better known under the name Dan Prestup, is an American drummer, percussionist and instructor of drums. Most famously, he is the drummer for the New Jersey-based hard-rock group Spider Rockets.

In the latter half of in 2006 Prestup took part in an audition for Spider Rockets and was a part of the group shortly after. It was in 2007 that Spider Rockets released its second album, Ever After, which was supported by an extensive tour across the country with Lillian Axe. Dan was in the studio together with Spider Rockets for the first time in 2008 to make the group’s third album. The album, titled self-titled, was released in the month of May 2009.

In February 2010, Prestup and Spider Rockets toured briefly with Pop Evil before joining the Vans Warped Tour in July. Later that year, in November, Spider Rockets toured with Framing Hanley.

Prestup has performed on multiple national tours, including the Vans Warped Tour in 2010. He has endorsements with Sabian, Spaun Drums, and Duallist Drum Pedals.
