Daniel Terrence LeFevour (born March 19th 1987) is a former Canadian football player. He was chosen during the 6th round of 2010’s NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears and played for the three remaining NFL teams (without being a part of a regular-season game) before joining the CFL in the year 2012. Before he began his professional career in the NFL, he played for college football in the NCAA Division at Central Michigan University. A dual- threat quarterback, LeFevour had the distinction of having the the most touchdowns recorded (e.g. through running, passing, and taking balls) in the time of the NCAA and scored scores of 148. Case Keenum has since surpassed the record in 2011.

In November of 2011 The Jacksonville Jaguars signed LeFevour off of the Colts practice team. LeFevour had been released by team on May 7, 2012.

LeFevour was claimed off waivers by the Cincinnati Bengals the next day, and spent the 2010 season as the third-string quarterback, but did not see any action. LeFevour was a graduate of Benet Academy in Lisle, Illinois in 2005. He began the high school year as a freshman team’s running back. Due to injuries to the quarterback for the freshman team, Dan took over for the final game, and led the team as the team’s signal-caller. After a successful career as a quarterback, Dan joined the varsity squad in his sophomore year. LeFevour was the full-time quarterback in mid-season. He continued to play his senior and junior seasons while also being named offensive Best Player in his senior season. While at Benet the quarterback threw 2,929 yards (3rd highest in the history of the school) as well as completed 173 of his passes and 24 for touchdowns. The final season of his career LeFevour was able to throw for 945 yards and seven touchdowns while running 634 yards and 13 touchdowns rushing. LeFevour was the coach who led Central Michigan University to three Mid- American Conference championships in his four seasons and was ranked in the top 25 nationally in the month of January’s AP Poll and USA Today Coaches Poll from the 2009-10 season. As a sophomore and freshman LeFevour played a key role in leading CMU to a bowl win and a second bowl defeat at the two Motor City Bowl games, with record attendances of 54,113 and 60,624 in December 2006 and 2007. The CMU team was named as the game’s MVP while an redshirt freshman. Dan was one of the 35 players on the Manning Award Watch List in August 2007. Dan was awarded the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week for two weeks in October 2007 and then again during the week following November 2nd. LeFevour was also named the title of USA Today’s Player Of The Week award for the week of October 16th in 2007. On December 1, 2007, LeFevour was the only athlete in Division I FBS history to pass for more than three hundred yards and rush for more than 1,000 yards in the same year (Vince Young had the distinction as the initial). In September of 2009, at Michigan State, LeFevour passed Byron Leftwich to take over as the MAC all-time top scorer in total offense over the course of his career. LeFevour currently has Mid American Conference records for career completions and attempts and passing yards, passing touchdowns, touchdowns total along with total offensive yards. On August 8, 2016, LeFevour signed a practice roster agreement with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League. Following an injury to starting quarterback Ricky Ray LeFevour took over the starting role for 3 games before being replaced part-way through this third game by Drew Willy whom the Argos had traded for following Ray’s injury.
