As a member of the Colts He was occasionally in for wounded James Mungro as fullback during the 2006 season. Klecko made his very first touchdown in his career with a 2nd and Goal 4-yard touchdown pass by Peyton Manning against the Miami Dolphins on December 31st in 2006.
On November 17, 2007, Klecko was waived by the Colts. He was re-signed three days later.
Klecko was declared an unrestricted free agent on March 2, 2007, but on March 24, 2007, he re-signed with the Colts, agreeing to a one-year contract.

Dan Klecko (born January 12 1981) is an ex- American football defensive player. He was selected in the New England Patriots in the fourth round of the 2003 NFL Draft. He played in the NCAA football tournament at Temple.
He was selected to the New England Patriots in the fourth round (117th selection overall) during the 2003 NFL Draft. Klecko has proven to be an extremely versatile player. He was a student at Saint Patrick School in Malvern, PA, Great Valley High School and graduated from Marlboro High School, and after that, Temple University as a defensive lineman. He was later promoted to linebacker during the summer of 2004. He’s played on special teams and during his rookie season, was a fullback who blocked in five of the Patriots nine touchdowns on the running.
Klecko was cut by the Patriots after the 2006 preseason.
