Dunn was born on the 13th of September the year 1976 from Fort Worth, Texas to an older mother of 16 years, Ramona Dunn. When Dunn was just three years old, and his dad, Texas Longhorns starting wide receiver Mike Lockett, was killed in a car crash. Dunn was raised in a trailer located on the farm of his grandparents. Dunn was an honors student at Sam Houston High School in Arlington, Texas and an All-State Texas football player.

On the 17th of June 2010 Taitz filed a suit at the Orange County Superior Court contesting the results of the election, claiming Dunn’s ineligibility. On March 17, 2011 the judge decided against Taitz. The first day of May, 2012 the California Court of Appeal affirmed the ruling of the superior court.

On May 12, 2010, Pamela Barnett (named plaintiff from Taitz’s lawsuit Barnett v. Obama) filed a lawsuit in the Sacramento County Superior Court alleging that Dunn was not eligible to run for Secretary of State.

In March 2010, notorious “birther” Orly Taitz qualified to run for the office of California Secretary of State. At the same time, she unsuccessfully challenged the eligibility of her Republican Party primary opponent, Dunn, claiming that he was pretending to be a Republican. While playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Dunn had registered to vote as a Democrat in 1999 but that registration expired in 2005.

As of 2009 Dunn declared that in 2009 he was running in the race for California Secretary of State, challenging current Democrat Debra Bowen. The Los Angeles Sentinel quoted Dunn: “There are a lot of African Americans that are conservative fiscally, but we don’t have the welcoming face in the Republican Party.”

Damon Jerrel Dunn (born March 15 1975) is an American politician, property developer, minister and former footballer.

Dunn earned his degree from Stanford in 1998, earning a master’s degree of public policy. Dunn was not selected for the 1998 NFL Draft. Following his graduation at Stanford, Dunn was on the practice team from the National Football League team Jacksonville Jaguars. Dunn was then a player in Cleveland Browns. Cleveland Browns in 1999. The following season, Dunn was a part of the Berlin Thunder of NFL Europe and then the New York Jets of the NFL as well as then the Browns during 2000. As of 2001, Dunn was a player for an XFL squad Los Angeles Xtreme; the XFL was disbanded after the season. Dunn joined the Dallas Cowboys training camp before the 2001 NFL season began. Dunn left the NFL after sustaining injuries there.

The San Francisco Chronicle endorsed Dunn for the June 2010 primary. Ronnie Lott, a Hall of Fame NFL player, endorsed Dunn the following month.
