In June of 2015 under the Administration of Ezenwo Wike Okocha, she was appointed later as the chief judge of Rivers State. It was the first female ever to be appointed to this post being rated as the highest-ranking high court judge by NJC.
In 1981, Okocha was a member of her first year in the Judiciary in her home state of Rivers State. She was appointed Magistrate Grade I and moved into various ranks of the court. In 1991 she was appointed judge of the High Court of Justice, and was appointed as the presidency judge for the Port Harcourt Division.

The appointment to her position by the Governor Ezenwo Wike on January 4, 2016 and served until her retirement date on January 15th, 2016. She was also the chief judge in an interim capacity prior to obtaining the permanent appointment.
Daisy was awarded her LL.B. (Hons.) graduated from (Hons.) from the University of Zaria in 1978. In the next year on June 29 she received her bar admission. She also holds a post-graduate certificate in Theology which she completed through RCBC. Redeemed Christian Bible College (RCBC).
