Curtis Valk (born February 8 1993) is a Canadian professional ice hockey center. He is currently playing for Barys Nur-Sultan of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). He was previously a part of the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League (NHL).
As a restricted free agent for the Panthers, Valk opted to suspend the rest of his North American career in signing an agreement for one year with the Kazahkstani club Barys Astana of the KHL on July 3rd, 2018.
On July 1st, 2017, Valk was released as a no-cost agent for a one-year entry- level deal to the Florida Panthers. In the course of Training camp Valk got a second assignment by the Panthers to start the 2017-18 season playing for their AHL affiliate named The Springfield Thunderbirds. In all 16 of their games Valk was impressive and led the team in scoring , scoring 15 points. On the 13th of November the 13th of November, 2017, he was granted his very first call-up by the Panthers to the NHL and made the NHL debut on the 14th of November in 2017. After one game with the Panthers, Valk was returned to the Thunderbirds and played through the entire season, scoring an all-time high of 62 points in the course of 73 games.

Valk played in the major junior league for his local team The Medicine Hat Tigers in the Western Hockey League (WHL). Valk was a player in the WHL during the 2010-11 season, was recognized for his exceptional performance in the 2012-13 WHL season when he was named on the 2013 WHL East First All-Star Team.
A free agent who was not drafted starting his first professional campaign, Valk received an invitation to take part at training camp for the Vancouver Canucks 2014 training camp on September 21 in 2014. Valk was then demoted to AHL affiliate known as The Utica Comets, where he signed a one-year deal on October 10 the 10th of October 2014. He was then immediately assigned to ECHL affiliate which is The Kalamazoo Wings to begin the 2014-15 season.
