Craig Stiens (born 31 July 1984 in Swansea) is a Welsh player who currently does not have any club. An ex- Wales Under-19 national, Craig started his professional career with Leeds United before making his debut as a professional with The Football League during a temporary stint with Swansea City in 2002.
In May 2009 when Merthyr having financial problems, Stiens joined Welsh Premier League Neath as did Merthyr teammates Matthew Harris and Ashley Evans before making the transition to professional during this season. He scored 14 times across 31 league matches as Neath was ranked 9th in the league. Then, at the end of the season, Stiens chose to go back for Merthyr Town.
He played for another one-year period at Elland Road before being allowed to leave in January of 2004 to sign with Southern League Premier Division side Merthyr Tydfil, making a goal scoring debut in a victory of 3-0 against Welling United. In the following year, during his first season at Merthyr Tydfil, he was crowned with the highest scorer for the club having scored 22 league goals, as they made it to the play-offs.

On the 17th of October, 2001, Stiens was made debut in the Wales under-19 team at just 16 years old when he took over for James Collins during a 1-0 loss to Slovakia. Stiens would go to win another seven caps over the next three years, with his sole goal coming in an 8-2 win against Faroe Islands on 9 August 2001.
In Swansea, Stiens spent his early days playing for Leeds United. He joined Leeds United in the month of December, 2002. signed with his hometown club Division Three club Swansea City on loan for the rest in the season 2002-03. His debut at the club just within two days of signing and was brought on as a substitute in place of Jamie Wood during a 1-0 loss to Exeter City on 14 December 2002. He also made two substitute games for Leeds during consecutive 1-0 defeats against Leyton Orient and Bristol Rovers however, despite spending additional 5 months in loan with Vetch Field however, he didn’t make a league appearance prior to returning to Leeds.
