Collette Nwadike is a contestant in various beauty contests including Miss Global Nigeria and Miss Earth Nigeria and finished second. in 2014 Nwadike received the honor of being named Miss Tourism Nigeria at a ceremony in May in Lagos State, Nigeria. She was representing Anambra State, among other 35 contestants from their states. After several screenings, Nwadike was named the Pageant Queen on that evening; her eyes were full of tears. After being named Miss Tourism 2015, she paid a visit of courtesy to meet governor of Anambra State Chief Willie Obiano. They took a trip through the state to take in the various tourist attractions. While there, she was appointed Senior Adviser to the Governor regarding tourism. Since she was appointed, Nwadike has been working for her State Government while participating in her other professions.
Before becoming beauty queen, Nwadike has auditioned and participated in different modelling contests and has been featured in various shows. She works with some talented and well known fashion designers and stylists in Nigeria. Nwadike has judged numerous pageants, and fashion and modeling competitions including Miss Tourism Nigeria 2015 and Mr. Universe Nigeria 2015.
In an interview with Collette Nwadike regarding her choice of course she studied in the university, she said, “I got the form myself and I actually filled in English Language and Literature for the first time but when it didn’t work out, I got another form and filled in the same course the second time. My interest in English is really in literature. I love reading books and that was one of the reasons I went for literature as a course. I’m really interested in Nigerian literature.”
As a young girl, she loved the stunning models and actresses wearing elegant attire and glamorous clothes. She participated in her first beauty contest, a modeling beauty pageant. she was a participant at the contest in 2011 Miss National Association of Students of English and Literary Studies (NASELS), Unizik Chapter and was unable to win. In the following year, she was entering her first year at the university. She then entered the compete in the Miss Miss (UNIZIK) Nnamdi Azikiwe University but failed. She considered trying a the pageant competition in school and decided to enter an entry in the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) pageant However, she didn’t even pass the auditions. She passed an Port Harcourt audition but stopped in Lagos. She didn’t give up and she entered Miss Earth Nigeria, where she was accepted into the camp at Lekki, Lagos and she performed well, even although she wasn’t as a runner-up. The contest was held within the “Incubator”. She was named Miss Earth Photogenic. Her journey to become a beauty queen was not over until 2012 when she entered Miss Global Nigeria. She competed for the title of Most Beautiful Girl in Abuja and was crowned Second Runner-up 2013. In 2014, she watched an online version of the Miss Tourism Nigeria pageant on the Internet. She was a contestant at Owerri, Imo State. She was then a representative of Anambra State. It was set for 17 May 2014, and was hosted in Ruby Gardens.

Collette attended God’s Heritage Nursery and Primary School in Makurdi, Benue State (1993-1995) as well as Holy Ghost Nursery and Primary School, Makurdi, Benue State in 2000. Later, she went to Anglican Secondary School in Makurdi, Benue State from 2001 to 2006 , and finished her O’Level at Caro Secondary School in Olodi-Apapa, Lagos State. At the age of 16, at the time of her 17th birthday, she was admitted to Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka where she was studying English Literature and English under the supervision of Professors Joy Chinwe Eyisi and Rems Umeasiegbu who were her top lecturers.
In December 2015, she represented Nigeria in Exquisite Face of the Universe held in Sao Tome and Principe, which involved over 50 contestants from different countries of the world. she emerged victorious and brought home the crown making her the first black woman to ever win the title.
