Chuck Jura is one of the most popular and richest Basketball Player who was born on March 28, 1950 in Schuyler, Nebraska, United States. Charles Jura (born March 28 1950) is a famous American former professional basketball player.

Jura was selected from the Chicago Bulls in the third round (45th overall) of the 1972 NBA draft as well as the NBA’s Utah Stars, Jura instead made the move into the Italian Serie A, signing with Mobilquattro Milano in June 1972. The American quickly adjusted to Italy and the Italian game, and became Milano’s captain and one of the league’s most talented players due to his unusual – for tall players of his height ability to perform technical tasks and his speed. He was the top scorer in Serie A in scoring during three consecutive seasons , from 1976 until 1978 – scoring 33.2, 32.9 and 29.6 points per game and is to this day the sole player who has led both rebounding and scoring charts during the same season (1976-77).

Playing for Serie A2 side Sav Bergamo in 1982–83, Jura scored 994 points to help the side obtain a historic promotion.

The Jolly Green Giants would win the Class B title the next year after beating Seward 73–54. Jura, averaging 30 points per game for 1967–1968, contributed a record breaking 109 points in 3 state tournament games. He was again All-State and also received All-American accolades.

Jura was a state player for his college years, joining at the University of Nebraska, who was a member of the Big Eight Conference of the NCAA University Division. He played in 25 games during his first season as a sophomore, registering 9.9 score and 7.7 rebound (both teams second-highests) during the 1969-70 season.

In the team of Schuyler High, Jura and teammates like Gene Harmon formed the Jolly Green Giants (named for the reason of their size and color) which made it to the Nebraska Class B finals in both 1967 and 1968. Jura averaged the team with 26 points and 15 rebounds per game in the year 1967. Jura was signed by the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers in August 1978, with the Cavs having earlier traded future draft choices to the Bulls for his rights, however Milano’s president offered him better terms soon afterwards with the player then settling the contract and returning to Italy.
