Christopher Bevans was born in Brooklyn, New York City to parents of Jamaican and Belizean descent. He was raised within Rochester, New York. His mother worked as a dressmaker in the 60s and 1970s. Bevans was raised around her industry and business and this led him to take an interest in the field. While he was working on his art, he would seek out his grandmother for assistance and supplies. The family relocated away from town for an short period of time as his father was employed at Kodak. Bevans started out as an apprentice for tailors as an teen and was the proprietor of the shop at 19. Bevans became the sole proprietor of the shoe repair shop that did not perform well. Bevans being blamed for this due to his lack of experience managing a small-scale business.

As of 2012 Bevans was appointed creative director for Billionaire Boys Club, the clothing brand created through Pharrell Williams as well as Nigo.

Since 2014, Bevans is working with Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch and Relativity Media to develop the Beast Mode brand, clothing and accessories line.

In 2015, Bevans introduced DYNE, his debut line of tailored, technologically advanced sportswear, at Men’s Fashion Week in New York City. DYNE has been in the work for years, and Bevans cites his love for technology, fabrics, sports, electronics, and tailoring. Bevans partnered with Google Cloud and Bemis Associates to debut their SS19 RTW collection during the New York Fashion Week Men’s. DYNE-brand clothing features NFC chips embedded in them to provide information about the clothing and access playlists.

Bevans relocated into Portland, Oregon in 2006 to join Nike as its global designer director for urban clothing. In Nike Bevans, he was in charge of in the creation of Nike’s Air Force 1 25th Anniversary campaign as well as The Blue Ribbon Sports collection, Roger Federer’s “RF” logo and Kanye West’s first collaboration with Nike on the Air Max 1.
