Christophe Revault Biography

Christophe Revault is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on March 22, 1972 in Paris, Île-de-France, France. Christophe Revault (born 22 March 1972) is a former French professional soccer player who was goalkeeper. He is currently the sports director of the club he played for at the time, Le Havre.

Revault continued to be at Toulouse until 2006 and the manager who replaced him, Elie Baup, announced that Nicolas Douchez was his first choice for goalkeeper’s jersey. This led to his returning back to Stade Rennais in August 2006 which was when he was the second goalkeeper of choice who was snapping at the heels of the younger Simon Pouplin.

On 6 January 2007, Revault played his first match in the colours of Rennes since returning to the club in the Round of 32 of the Coupe de France against National side Romorantin. It proved to be a bitter-sweet experience for Revault as Rennes suffered a shocking 3–1 loss after extra time in front of their own fans at the Stade de la Route de Lorient.

Revault retired from playing in 2010, but remained at Le Havre as a scout. He served as interim manager in two spells during 2012 and 2015, and has served as sporting director since December 2012.

After two seasons of success in Rennes his services were acquired by Toulouse who were then participating in Ligue 1. in 2001. Toulouse was forced to cut down to two divisions due to financial issues however, despite this Revault continued to play for the club and helped the club to gain two consecutive promotions to the top league receiving an award for the Ligue 2’s top goalie of the 2002-2003 season while in the process. When he returned to the top league, Revault was widely regarded to be one of France’s best goalkeepers working in France however he was not chosen for France’s national team.

After a rather disappointing time at PSG, Revault had a disappointing time with Parisian team, Revault was snapped up by Stade Rennais manager Paul Le Guen who was a former teammate with him at PSG in the final stages in the season 1997-1998.

Revault was to return back to Paris and play with PSG in 1997, and was an alternative to Bernard Lama, who was sent for West Ham United.
