Paisley played golf in college in the University of Tennessee where he took home two wins. He was a member of the St Andrews Trophy team in 2008, and on the Palmer Cup and Walker Cup teams in 2009. He made the switch to professional football in 2009.
Paisley took home both of the events of the Alps Tour and started playing on the Challenge Tour the same year. In August, he took home the third Alps Tour event of the year.
