Chris Marples is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on August 3, 1964 in England, United Kingdom. Christopher Marples (born 3 August 1964 in Chesterfield, Derbyshire) is a famous English former player of the first team in cricket and football.

But, Marples stayed on to take part in a number of games for his Second XI in 1987, and then returned for one Second XI game in 1993 which was a largely inactive three-day game, against Leicestershire.

In 2005, he became assistant manager to Nicky Law at Buxton during a period which brought success for the club with the achievement of two consecutive promotions in the 2005–06 and 2006–07 seasons to reach the Northern Premier League Premier Division. He accompanied Law in a switch to Alfreton Town for the following season but resigned in April 2008 citing other commitments.

He played a further fifteen First-class cricket games for the club in 1986. the season that Derbyshire utilized three different players for the role of wicketkeeper, with Bernie Maher, who was acknowledged as a better batsman, eventually being reclaimed the spot. Marples wasn’t offered a contract afterward.

When it came to cricket, Marples was a wicket-keeper and right-handed batsman. He was a member of his Derbyshire side at the Second XI Championship as early as 1982, Marples made his debut County Championship appearance in July 1985, against Yorkshire. He scored four catches, and was a part of every single game in the tournament until the conclusion to the campaign. Additionally, Marples was part of Derbyshire’s Asda Challenge Trophy winning side.

Marples’ Football League goalkeeping career ran from 1984 until 1995, with his career beginning at his club of choice, Chesterfield and also taking part in stints in York City and Stockport County. He took home the Fourth Division Championship medal in his debut season at Chesterfield as well as being part of the team’s 1994-95 team that also won advancement from fourth division and this time through the playoffs. However, he injured the leg twice over his game.
