Chris Dittmar is one of the most popular and richest Television Presenter who was born on January 16, 1964 in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. Dittmar is a member of an established sports family in Adelaide. He was the son of a player in Australian rules football with Port Adelaide Football Club. Uncle Wally was also a player for Port Adelaide and represented South Australia in State of Origin Football. His uncle Len was named the Australian world champion boxer back in 1950. Tom, the son of Len, Tom was a player for the WT Birkalla, a soccer team. WT Birkalla but now plays for the soccer Club Comets FC.

Dittmar has won numerous professional titles such as three Australian Opens as well as three Canadian Opens. three European Opens and three New Zealand Opens and two Opens in South Africa. His consistency allowed him to briefly get an initial World No. 1 ranking just before his retirement as a professional in 1993. He was ranked as No. 2 and No. 3 for much longer periods.

Dittmar suffered a small brain haemorrhage requiring hospitalisation in July 2009.

Dittmar was perhaps unlucky to have been around during the same era as two great Pakistani players – Jahangir Khan and Jansher Khan. Dittmar provided probably the most consistent challenge of any player to the dominance of these two greats during the 1980s and early-1990s, but never quite managed to break their iron grip on the game. In all seven of the World Open and British Open finals he played in, Dittmar lost to one of the two Khans. There were several occasions in his career when Dittmar managed to beat one of the Khans in a semi-final round, only to lose to the other in the final. Dittmar won what is remembered as one of the sport’s classic matches against Jahangir Khan in the semi-finals of the 1989 World Open in Kuala Lumpur, taking the fifth set 15-13. The following day in the final, he took a two set lead against Jansher, but tired as the long match wore on and eventually lost in five sets.

Dittmar has said that his proudest moment in his career was when he led his Australian squad to win at the World Team Squash Championships in 1989. Australia defeated Pakistan by a score of 3-0 in the final and Dittmar helping to win against Jahangir Khan. In 1991, two years later, Dittmar captained the Australian team who successfully defended their title.
