Christopher Donald Boniol (born December 9th 1971) is an ex-professional American football player with the National Football League for the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles and the Chicago Bears. He was the winner of Super Bowl XXX with the Cowboys against their counterparts, the Pittsburgh Steelers. He set with the NFL record for the most field goals in a single game with seven. He played in the college football league on the team at Louisiana Tech University.
Boniol was accepted as a restricted free-agent to the Philadelphia Eagles in 1997, following the cap-strapped salary of the Cowboys were unable to match the Eagles offering of four years. Boniol played in Philadelphia for two seasons prior to being released due to inconsistency when field goals exceed 40 yards.
Boniol was an assistant coach for the Dallas Cowboys from 2010 to 2013, and focused on kickers and punters. In 2014, he was hired by the Oakland Raiders as an assistant to special teams coordinator Bobby April.
In 1996 the player broke the club record to record the most longest run of field goal goals in a row, with 27, (it has since been broken with Dan Bailey in 2014). He also set the NFL record of 7 field goals made during a game that took place on an evening game on Monday in the league against The Green Bay Packers. The following year, he was the only player in the history of the team to be awarded the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week twice in an entire season. The second award following winning the Wild Card Playoff win over the Minnesota Vikings.

He was awarded a scholarship be a football player at Louisiana Tech University. In 1990 the year he was named All-Louisiana and was named the Louisiana freshman of the year after scoring 17 of the 24 field goals. He ended his college career third on the school’s all time scoring list.
