Chad Michael Paronto (born July 28th 1975) is an American former Major League Baseball player. Paronto played at his time at the University of Massachusetts Amherst before being chosen to the Baltimore Orioles in the eighth round of the 1996 Major League Baseball Draft. Paronto’s top pitches are 90-94 mph fastballs and an extremely heavy sinker that is mostly used by men on base.
Paronto became a free-agent in the off-season of 2003, and was signed by the St. Louis Cardinals. He was never able to make an appearance in the Major Leagues with the Cardinals.
Paronto signed with the Atlanta Braves on June 21, 2005, and was assigned to the Triple-A Richmond Braves.
Paronto began the 2005 season with the Triple-A affiliate of the Brewers, the Nashville Sounds. With the Sounds, he went 3–1 with a 2.75 ERA and four saves in 27 relief appearances. However, Paronto was released by Milwaukee on June 17.
Paronto enjoyed a solid year in 2002 while with Cleveland with a 2-2 record and an impressive 4.04 ERA and 23 strikeouts. After going 0-2, he posted an 9.45 ERA and six strikeouts in six 3 1/3 innings of pitching.

Paronto was a student at Woodsville High School located in Woodsville, New Hampshire and was a team captain in soccer, baseball and basketball.
