Chad Morton is one of the most popular and richest American Football Player who was born on April 4, 1977 in Torrance, California, United States. Chad Akio Morton (born April 4 1977) is an ex- American football running back and kick/punt returner for the National Football League. He was picked up from USC at the end of 2005 in the final round of 2000’s NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints. After a memorable rookie season for the Saints, Morton played five years more in between his stints at his former team the New York Jets, the Washington Redskins, and the New York Giants.
He was the first alternate for in the 2005 Pro Bowl as a kick returner.
Morton joined the Green Bay Packers in 2009 as the team’s coaching administrator, and he was promoted to assistant special teams coach in February 2010. Morton assisted the Pack’s 2010 special teams units that ultimately won championship rings in Super Bowl XLV. With a coaching staff shakeup following the Packers’ 2013 season, he left Green Bay.
Morton was part of the Green Bay Packers coaching staff during the Packers’ 2010-’11 championship year. He is currently on the Seattle Seahawks’ coaching staff as a running backs coach.
Morton’s most memorable year as a kick returner was during in 2002 with the New York Jets, as the player racked up .1,509 yards and scored two touchdowns (both touchdowns in one contest) taking kickoffs back for Herman Edwards’ Jets squad that took home the AFC East title that year and walked into victory with a blowout in the opening round of the playoffs , before losing during the divisional final to most prestigious AFC Championship winners, the Raiders.

Morton was an offensive back with the University of Southern California Trojans in the latter part of the 1990s. One of the highlights of Morton’s football career at the college level was in 1999, when he secured an USC victory ahead of an encounter with UCLA team, who had the Trojans to victory for eight games with the Trojans. Morton ran for the 143-yard mark in a USC victory. In 2010, the event was recognized by ESPN as the fourth most significant incident in the rivalry football between the two schools.
In the 166th round (the 5th round) during the 2001 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints, Morton became one of the only a handful of rookie runners in Saints history to receive an extended amount of participation in (16 games) and have an impact on offense as well in the role of a kick-returner during his first season in the pros. Morton had a career-best reception season of 213 yards from 30 receiving catches (7.1 yards for each reception) and the 136 yards he racked up rushing and 1,029 yards of kick returns in the Saints who had a successful, 10-6, NFC West title-winning 2000 season. Morton’s postseason contributions were important for the Saints. After their New Orleans Saints’ first ever playoff victory in the playoffs, they played host to their rivals the Minnesota Vikings for the divisional round game. Morton recorded the record for receptions with the most in an entire playoff game for rookies while also tying the record for playoff games for most receptions received by an individual player, having 13 receptions in the final loss to the Vikings.
His last year playing football was 2006 with the New York Giants, as he suffered a career-ending ACL tear in Week 16 while covering a punt. On February 13, 2007, he was released by the Giants.
