Chad I Ginsburg is one of the most popular and richest Musician who was born on April 24, 1972 in New Hope, Pennsylvania, United States. Chad I Ginsburg (born April 24 1972) Also known with the name CiG, is a famous American metal musician and producer. He is most well-known for his role as the guitarist and the replacement singer of the West Chester-based band CKY who was formed by him in 1998. Prior to joining CKY, Ginsburg performed in the band called Rudy & Blitz, and in July of 2015, he released his first self- titled album Rock n Roll Alibis.

In 2007 Ginsburg recorded his album, Chapter Two with Viking Skull, a band with CKY members Jess Margera, and also played guitar on “The Hidden Flame”. Ginsburg later recorded the album that followed, Doom, Gloom, Heartache & Whiskey which was which was released in 2008.

In 2011, Ginsburg was reportedly the source of what Metal Insider writer Zach Shaw described as a “high point of tension”, as he disagreed with the idea of each band member recording separate solo albums, instead favouring the traditional option of producing another CKY album together. In response, Miller claimed that the guitarist had officially left the band, and that he would be following suit, leaving the continued future of the group in doubt. Ginsburg, along with Margera and bassist Matt “Matty J” Janaitis, later returned as CKY in 2012 with Year Long Disaster frontman Daniel Davies in place of Miller. This lineup (with Matt Deis in place of Janaitis) later reunited in 2015, following another split with Miller.

Bam Margera later enlisted Ginsburg for his musical project Fuckface Unstoppable, although in January 2013 it was announced that the guitarist had officially left the band, claiming that he couldn’t “witness or enable the downward spiral of [his] long time friends anymore”. Further information regarding the departure later emerged, including a blog kept by the tour manager detailing “drug and alcohol fueled antics” which convinced Ginsburg to leave the group.

In an interview for Guitar.com during 2002 Ginsburg stated that the equipment included Ibanez guitars and the Mesa Boogie head, a Prophecy preamp as well as an Cry Baby rack and “random floor stomp pedals”. Interviewed by John Ferrante described his guitar sound in terms of being “very distinct”, claiming that it “sounds like [he uses] a harmonizer”. The liner notes in Rock n Roll Alibis state that Ginsburg utilizes ESP as well as PRS guitars. prior to being a part of CKY, Ginsburg played in the group Rudy & Blitz, as also “several other bands [he] could care less about”. The group signed with Ruffhouse Records, a label that was a sub-label that is part of Columbia Records, in 1995 however, they were later allegedly ignored by the label in favor of other bands and Ginsburg declaring on the record in 1996 “Our record has been held up for a really long time … [it] fuckin’ rules and they won’t release it. They owe us a lot of money, and a couple vacations.” Ruffhouse Co- owner Joe Nicolo somewhat backed up the claims of the guitarist, saying that even though Ruffhouse wanted to release the album but it was stifled by the executives of Columbia Records, the parent label Columbia and they would prefer to release it via an independent record label Contract Recordings. The album, titled Reverb on the Click, was eventually released by Ginsburg’s personal labels a few years after.

Ginsburg first came across Deron Miller, and Jess Margera when the duo started working on their first CKY album (under the name of Oil) in the local studio, where he was Engineer at that time. The band was formed in 1998, he played guitar as well as bass for Volume 1 and was also responsible with the album’s production, recording, engineering, and mixing. The guitarist was later in charge of production on each album by CKY.

After a show in St. Louis, Missouri in 2007, Ginsburg reportedly had an altercation with Miller in the tour bus, after which he claimed the frontman had left the band. Miller responded with claims to the contrary, while Ginsburg proposed that he would continue CKY with Margera.
