This show reached hundreds of thousands to many millions of viewers weekly. Pearson’s church saw an average attendance of more than 6,000 weekly during the 1990s. Pearson was ordained a bishop on the first night of the 1996 AZUSA Conference. He was then consecrated the following night. Pearson ran for George W. Bush in 2000 and was later invited to the White House. Pearson hosted one of the most popular TV programs on Trinity Broadcasting Network. Pearson hosted the AZUSA Conference in Tulsa. Pearson also traveled the continent as a preacher, giving two-day revivals. Pearson gave many new ministers and singers international exposure and a global audience. Pearson also had the opportunity to meet and counsel former presidents George H. W. Bush, and Bill Clinton.

Pearson lost the 2002 primary election to become mayor of Tulsa. Pearson began calling his doctrine, a variation on universal reconciliation, the Gospel of Inclusion by that time and many of his followers started to leave.

In November 2006, Pearson was accepted as a United Church of Christ minister.

In June 2008, the then renamed New Dimensions Worship Center moved its services to the All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa. On September 7, 2008, Pearson held his final service for the New Dimensions Worship Center, and it was absorbed into the All Souls Unitarian Church.

Pearson felt a sense of God’s presence after he saw a TV program that highlighted the terrible conditions for Rwandan victims of the 1994 genocide. He also considered the church teachings that non-Christians would go to Hell. Pearson stated publicly that he was skeptical of Hell’s existence as an eternal place of torment. He stated that human depravity, and bad behavior create hell on Earth.
