Mirandes decided to not renew Pouso’s contract on 30 June 2013 despite the fact that he had managed to finish above relegation zone. After one year of inactivity, he was promoted to UD Logrones, third tier. He led his team to consecutive appearances in promotion play-offs, but without success. In November 2016, he resigned and became the club’s director.
Pouso, who was named manager of CD Guijuelo in January 2010, returned to the third-level with the goal of avoiding relegation. On 1 June, he signed with CD Mirandes, a league side. They reached the semi-finals in Copa del Rey and were promoted to division 2.

Pouso was born in Leioa in Basque Country and began his career as a professional manager with Arenas de Getxo in 2000. Three years later, Pouso was appointed to the Sestao River Club. He achieved two promotions to Segunda Division B.
Pouso was appointed coach of Segunda Division club SD Eibar on 17 June 2008. He was granted a one year leave from his shipbuilding job to allow him to devote himself fully to his new work. After a disappointing season, he was fired in March 2009. Josu Uribe replaced him.
On 6 February 2018, Pouso joined Racing de Santander on a deal until the end of the campaign, replacing the fired Ángel Viadero. He returned to work in November the following year, at Pontevedra CF.
