Carlos Fren is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on December 27, 1954 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Carlos Fren, born 27 December 1954, is a former Argentine manager and footballer. His playing career was dominated by Independiente and Argentinos Juniors. These clubs he has managed as well.
Fren started coaching youth teams at Velez Sarsfield and Nueva Chicago. Independiente, his former club, was Fren’s first appointment to a team in 1991. He teamed up in 1994 with Diego Maradona to manage Deportivo Mandiyu. The pair failed again to manage Racing Club in 1995.
From there, Fren went on to coach the reserve team of Talleres de Córdoba and then work as assistant coach to José Pastoriza at Independiente. In between 2004 and 2005, he worked with Luis Garisto at Instituto de Córdoba and in 2007, he had a spell in charge of 12 de Octubre of Paraguay.
He played 56 league games for Velez Sarsfield between 1984 and 1985, after a brief stint with Nueva Chicago.

Fren started his playing career with the Argentinos Juniors in 1973. He played in the Argentinos’ midfield alongside Diego Maradona, a teenage sensation. Before joining Independiente, he made more than 200 appearances in the Paternal club.
Fren was a member of the independiente team that played 103 league matches before he joined Racing Club, their fiercest rival, in 1982. He was part of the Argentina team for the 1980 Mundialito.
In 1996, Fren notoriously spent a single game in charge of Argentinos Juniors before resigning.
