Carla Khan (Urdu khrl khn) is a British Pakistani professional squash player. She is the granddaughter and great-granddaughter of Azam Khan, a legend in Pakistani squash and the daughter of Jacqui Stoter (and Wasil Khan). At the age of 12, she began playing squash in England. Her father, Wasil Khan, was her coach in squash.
She was unwell in late 2005 and had a difficult time in 2006, before she fell ill during the 2006 South Asian Games. Khan wasn’t expected to return until 2008, but she played again in September 2007. Despite this, Khan was not expected to be back until 2008. However, she returned in September 2007 and won her fourth title at the Iranian Open, defeating Donna Urquhart in finals.
Khan then retired. She made a comeback in 2009. However, unable to continue, she retired again and now has moved on to television presenting. She appeared on the ITV dating game show Take Me Out in January 2011.
Khan beat Nicol David of Malaysia at the Irish Open 2004. She was ranked 9th in the world at the time. Khan achieved her highest ranking of 21, which she received on 15 April 2004. Khan lost to Alison Walters of England in 2005’s final of the Forbes Open. Khan was able to reach the final of the 1st POF WISPA Tournament in Pakistan and defeated Sharon Wee from Malaysia 9-1 9-3 9-4. Khan did not drop a set during the entire tournament. Khan finished the year with another final at the 4th Women Islamic Games 2005, Tehran. She lost to Tricia Chuah (1-9, 9-6), 1-9 and 1-9).
