Callum Leeroy Evans, a professional English footballer, was born 11 October 1995. He plays right-back at Port Vale’s League Two side. He is a speedy player and can play as a left-back or central midfielder.

He made his Championship debut on 28 January 2017 at Rotherham United. He was a substitute for Aidy White in the 60th minute. White was injured so Paul Heckingbottom, Evans’ manager, gave Evans his first start. This was followed by a 3-1 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers at Oakwell three days later. Evans signed on 17 February for National League side Macclesfield Town, where he would remain until the end 2016-17 season. He was only three times a player for Barnsley and Macclesfield. In May 2017, Barnsley released Evans.

On 20 July 2019, Evans signed a one-year deal with League Two side Port Vale, who were managed by former Macclesfield boss John Askey. He started the 2019–20 season on the bench, with James Gibbons preferred at right-back. He made his debut for the “Valiants” on 3 September, in 2–1 victory over Shrewsbury Town in an EFL Trophy tie at Vale Park. He played a total of just nine games and was released by Port Vale at the end of the season.

Evans signed a one year contract with Forest Green Rovers, a League Two side, on 22 May 2017. Mark Cooper, Rovers manager stated that Evans would not spend four years at Manchester United “if you’re a mug”. On the opening day 2017-18, Cooper made his debut at The New Lawn. He was substituted after 68 minutes, and was then dropped from the first team. He returned to the National League in September on a three month loan agreement with Gary Owers’s Torquay United. After his Plainmoor loan ended, he made 12 appearances with the “Gulls”, before returning to Forest Green. He was seen for the Green in a 2-1 defeat by Wycombe Wanderers on New Year’s Day but was removed just before half-time. Forest Green released him in May 2018.

Evans joined Manchester United at the age of 14 and made it through the club’s youth program, becoming a Warren Joyce under-21 player in October 2014. When he was released from Old Trafford in June 2015, Evans left. Barnsley offered him a one-year contract. He was to join the under-21 team of the “Tykes”, and the club decided to extend his contract by an additional year.

He was a graduate of the Academy Manchester United and signed with Barnsley in August 2015. He made his senior debut in football in January 2017. He was then loaned to Macclesfield Town in the following month. In May 2017, he joined Forest Green Rovers, from which he was then loaned to Torquay United for four months. He was loaned to Macclesfield Town again in January 2018. Evans re-joined Macclesfield Town for a second loan spell on 15 January 2018. He featured in 14 games as the club won promotion into the English Football League as champions of the National League at the end of the 2017–18 season. He was offered a permanent contract at Macclesfield by manager John Askey in May 2018. However he was used mainly as a squad player at Moss Rose by both Mark Yates and Sol Campbell in the 2018–19 campaign. He did though manage to score his first goal in professional football on 2 February, hitting the net from 15 yards in a 3–1 defeat at Mansfield Town.
