Kumar originally from Tirumangalam in Madurai, Kumar first arrived in Chennai to complete his MSc Psychology courses. He was studying distance education at Madras University. He had been attending classes at Arena Multimedia, Madurai, during this time before transferring to Chennai. He learned sound design, branding, and scriptwriting in three years, from 2002 to 2005. He was on a family trip to Los Angeles in 2010, and was inspired to create a production house.
