Brooks Frederick Landgraf (born March 15th 1981) is an attorney and rancher from his home town of Odessa, Texas, who is a Republican member of the Texas House of Representatives for District 81. The district includes Ector, Andrews, Ward and Winkler counties. In January of 2015, he took over in the third term of Republican Tryon D. Lewis who was not seeking an election for re-election in the primary which was held on March 4, 2014.

In 1999 Landgraf graduated from Permian High School in Odessa. He graduated in

2003. earned his undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University in College Station in Texas, where he was an active participant in the United States Army Corps of Cadets as well as the Student Senate, serving as the Speaker in the Senate. He graduated in 2008 and received the Juris Doctor degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, where he was editor-in-chief for the St. Mary’s Law Review.

Landgraf handily won his third legislative term in the general election held on November 6, 2018. With 29,018 votes (75 percent), he defeated the Democrat Armando Gamboa, who trailed with 9,670 (25 percent).
