Brent Aaron Clevlen (born October 27 in 1983) is an American professional baseball player who has played part of four major league seasons for the Detroit Tigers and Atlanta Braves and now manages the Cleburne Railroaders of the American Association. The AA is an autonomous baseball league and is not associated to or associated with any MLB team. In 2017, he was named director of the Wichita Wingnuts. Clevlen was a second-round selection from the Detroit Tigers in the 2002 first-year player draft. Clevlen made his Major League debut on July 30 of 2006 after a 6-4 defeat against the Minnesota Twins. He was positioned in center field during his debut game. The first catch he made on the field was supposed to serve as a sacrifice fly from Minnesota catcher Joe Mauer, but ended as a double play after Clevlen was thrown out by Luis Castillo at home plate. When he made his first MLB at-bat in the game, he hit a double off Twins superstar Johan Santana.
In 2008, Clevlen was called up in place of injured Clete Thomas, but returned to Toledo when Thomas was reactivated.
On July 31, 2010, he played in for games for the Atlanta Braves and then was designated for assignment and became a free agent at the end of the season.
The 1st of August, 2006 at his 2nd Major League game, Clevlen hit his first major league homer in the game against Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the 5th innings off pitching Travis Harper. Clevlen added a second home hit in the 9th inning against pitcher Ruddy Lugo, who went 3-for-5 on the game, scoring three runs scored and two RBI.
