In 2014 McCormack was inducted into the Sigma Honor Society of Nursing International Nurse Researchers Hall of Fame and in 2015 was named as an Inspirational Nursing Leader by Nursing Times. In 2010 McCormack delivered the Winifred Raphael Memorial lecture at the Royal College of Nursing Congress.
