Brandon DiAundre Rutley (born April 9th 1989) is a Canadian football running back who plays for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played in the NCAA football tournament in the NCAA Division at San Jose State. He was also part of both the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Montreal Alouettes.

On the 22nd of August, 2012 Rutley joined The Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League. Rutley made two rushing attempts to gain 17 yards. He was a part of the Tiger-Cats have placed Rutley as an injured reserve the 27th of September The team put Rutley on the list of non-active players the 11th of October before releasing Rutley on the 2nd of November.

Rutley signed with the CFL’s Montreal Alouettes on June 1, 2014. He had one rush attempt for 6 yards with Montreal. The Alouettes released Rutley on August 11. He was re-signed to the Alouettes’ practice roster on September 23,

2014. He was promoted to the active roster on November 15, 2014. On February 3, 2015, the Alouettes and Rutley agreed to a two-year contract extension. Rutley saw increased playing time in the 2015 and 2016 seasons as the team’s backup running back, carrying the ball 83 times for 454 yards in 2015, and 113 times for 495 yards in 2016. After almost a week as a free agent Rutley re- signed with the Alouettes, on a two-year contract, on February 20, 2017. Rutley only played in five games for the Alouettes in 2017, rushing for 291 yards on 49 carries.

On January 15, 2018 Rutley was acquired by the BC Lions via trade.

The 2009 season was a rough one. Rutley had played in 10 games, and racked up just 59 rushing yards and two touchdowns. In the year 2010, San Jose State had a new coach in head coach Mike MacIntyre. Rutley participated in throughout the entire 2010 season and improved his performance with 129 carries , 461 yards and four touchdowns. Rutley was notable for his ability to elude the tacklers and run long distance plays. Rutley also recorded 17 receptions, 318 yards, with the 75-yard touchdown he scored. As a senior in the year 2011, Rutley earned second-team All-Western Athletic Conference distinction. Rutley played 11 games and ran 216 times with 903 yards, 12 scores. The touchdowns he scored were ones of 66 yards at New Mexico State and 65 yards against UCLA. Rutley also had 27 receptions, totalling 336 yards. The homecoming game with Hawaii, Rutley fumbled a 25-yard touchdown with about 30 seconds remaining however, San Jose State rallied to beat Hawaii 28-27, in a game that saw San Jose State had six mistakes in the game and Hawaii five. Rutley was a graduate of San Jose State in May 2012 with an B.A. in communication studies.
