Brad Thomas Kilby (pronounced KIL-bee) (born on the 19th of February 1983, in Modesto, California) is a left-handed former Major League Baseball pitcher. Kilby was chosen to the Athletics in the twenty-ninth selection of the Major League Baseball Draft. He stands 6’1″ and weighs 335 pounds.
Kilby began his debut in the major leagues the 2nd of September, 2009 with the Kansas City Royals. In his first start Kilby played two innings and giving the ball away and got two strikeouts.
On the 4th of October in 2009. Brad took his very first MLB start with a walk, striking out one while refusing to allow a single hit in two innings. Brad’s sole MLB start, which ended being one of the few players in MLB history not to let a hit during his only MLB start. [1]

Brad Kilby attended Laguna Creek High School in Elk Grove, CA taking the Laguna Creek Cardinals to several high school baseball championships. He played his college career playing baseball in San Jose State University. Kilby started the minor-league career in the year 2005 when he joined the Vancouver Canadians with a 1.95 ERA in 23 games. The following season, he was playing for the Kane County Cougars, pitching 1.63 ERA in 49 games. 2007 was the year he was a player in The Stockton Ports and Midland RockHounds with a 2.92 ERA in 54 games.
The year 2008 was the last time he pitched with The Sacramento River Cats, pitching 3.47 ERA with seven wins and two losses over 51 games. He also was a player in the River Cats, pitching 2.13 ERA in 45 games, before he was summoned from Oakland A’s. Oakland A’s.
He retired in September 2012 due to injuries to his pitching shoulder.
