Boncho Genchev (Bulgarian: Boncho Genchev born on July 7, 1964) is a Bulgarian retired professional footballer who was an attacking midfielder and a manager currently.
For the course of six seasons, Genchev played 12 times during his time in Bulgaria and did not score. Genchev represented Bulgaria in the 1994 FIFA World Cup, replacing Nasko Sirakov in the second part of the round-of-16 match with Mexico and scoring during his penalty shootout.
Genchev was also picked for the squad at UEFA Euro 1996, playing one minute in the 1–0 group stage win against Romania.
In 1997, after five years in England, Genchev returned to his country, with PFC CSKA Sofia, winning the top scorer accolade in his debut campaign — although the club could only finish third – and the Bulgarian Cup in his second. After that, he returned, at nearly 35, to England, playing non-league football for Hendon FC and Carshalton Athletic, and retiring three years after.
He began his journey playing with the lowest leagues prior to shifting into Lokomotiv Gorna and Etar. After a time living in Portugal with Sporting He moved back to England in 1992. He played with the Premier League with Ipswich Town and also in the Football League for Luton Town.

Genchev was born at General Toshevo, Dobrich Province, Genchev started playing with PFC Dobrudzha Dobrichbefore switching into PFC Litex in 1982 to play a single season. In the next year, Genchev joined the Bulgarian A Football Group, along with FC Lokomotiv Gorna Oryahovitsa and F.C. Etar where he played 3 1/2 and 4 1/2 years, respectively.
After scoring 22 league goals for Etar in two seasons The Genchev was 27 years old when Genchev left for the United States and signed with Sporting Clube de Portugal in the summer of 1991 with his compatriot Ivaylo Yordanov, who previously was his successor as the head of Lokomotiv GO. As opposed to the forward, he was unable to make an impact with the Lisbon club, and left after just one campaign as well as 2 Primeira Liga matches.
Genchev appeared with Bulgaria at the 1994 World Cup and Euro 1996 tournaments.
