She is from Duhok, Kurdistan Region of Iraq. She is a film maker and media professional with more than nine years of expertise in filmmaking, television production and management of cultural assets. Bina is a graduate of the degree in law and politics in the year 2010 at the University of Duhok but started her career in media and film in 2007 by writing and directing an acclaimed social awareness show called (Tik Tak) for Kurdistan TV channel. It was and later, a variety of other TV shows that were broadcast on leading Kurdish channels. In the past she has worked in various roles in award-winning movies like “Bekas” by Karzan Kadir. She is co-founder as well as program director of Duhok International Film Festival.

The month of May 2017 was when Bina Queredaxi delivered an address to pupils from the FilmArche school in Berlin about the challenges facing women working in the media and filmmaking industry in conservative middle eastern societies, and the role of Duhok IFF in promoting the culture of Kurdistan across the globe.
