Bill Flores is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on February 25, 1954 in Cheyenne, United States. Flores is a native of Cheyenne, Wyoming at the F.E. Warren Air Force Base, which is where his father was stationed within the army. He is the father of Ruth Ann Theresa (nee Kennedy) and Joe Pete Flores. He was raised within Stratford located in the Texas Panhandle. His paternal ancestors fled Spain for the United States and settled into the area that is today Texas at the time of 1725. In regards to his roots, Flores has said, “My family came from Spain in 1725, and if people want to consider me Hispanic, they can, but I didn’t advertise that way, and I’m an American first.” He earned the degree of B.B.A. Cum laude in the field of accounting at Texas A&M University in 1976. At the time he was a part of the Corps of Cadets, the MSC Student Conference on National Affairs and The Ross Volunteer Company, and Corps Staff. He also was the student Body President of Finance in his final year. He is certified as a certified public accountant since 1978. He also graduated with an Master of Business Administration from Houston Baptist University in 1985.
A team of five executives from the oil and gas industry headed by Flores as CEO and President founded Phoenix Exploration Company with $350 million in capital commitments from an array of private equity firms which comprised Riverstone Holdings and Pinebrook Partners. The company was involved in the exploration of oil and gas across the Gulf Coast and the Gulf of Mexico. Flores was also the company’s Director since its inception until December 2009 to contest for public office.
On November 2, 2010, Flores defeated Edwards with 62 percent of the vote. This was the largest margin of defeat for a Democratic incumbent in the 2010 cycle.
Through December 21, 2010, Flores’ campaign raised $3.5 million, of which $1.49 million came from Flores himself. He spent $3.3 million overall.
Flores has been an active part of his position on the Mays Business School Advisory Board and his position on the Corps of Cadets Development Council, Corps of Cadets Association and the Houston A&M Club, the Brazos County A&M Club as well as other positions of the Mays Business School Advisory Board, the Brazos County A&M Club Texas A&M University. He was honored in 2003 when he was recognized as an outstanding alumnus from the Mays Business School of Texas A&M University. In 2010 he was acknowledged as a ‘Distinguished Alumni in the name of Texas A&M University.

William Hose Flores Sr.”‘ f l Z”/ (born on February 25 1954) is an American politician and businessman who has served as elected the U.S. Representative for Texas’s 17th congressional district from 2011. The district, which is located at the heart of Texas, comprises Waco, College Station, and Bryan. He is a part of the Republican Party and the former chief executive officer of Phoenix Exploration Company, an oil and natural gas firm.
Flores was CFO (CFO) of two publically traded energy services companies from 1990 to 1998. Marine Drilling Companies, Inc. (1990-1997) and Western Atlas Inc. (1997-1998). From 2002 to 2005 Flores was the CFO and Senior Vice President at Gryphon Exploration Company.
In late 2009 Flores entered the Republican primary for the 17th District, held by 10-term Democratic incumbent Chet Edwards. Flores claimed his worries about the future of “the American dream” inspired him to run for Congress. He committed a half million dollars of his own money to self-fund his campaign.
