Basil Shaaban is one of the most popular and richest Racing Driver who was born on March 27, 1980 in Beirut, Beirut Governorate, Lebanon. Basil Shaaban (born 27 March 1980 in Beirut) is a Lebanese racing driverwho was raised mostly within Abu Dhabi.
Shaaban was a participant at his first Formula Three Euroseries beginning in 2007, his first season in full-time racing in a car. Shaaban spent the second and third seasons (2007-2008) with HBR Motorsport, before moving to Prema Powerteam for the 2009 season. At the 55th time, Shaaban scored his first top ten finish as well as one of his very debut Euroseries points (seventh) in Barcelona. The second time he raced, Shaaban began in the front row, due to the reverse grid system used by the series that was used for top finishers from the race prior to it. While he was beaten to the left by Alexander Sims, Shaaban finished third. As of 2009, Shaaban placed 11th overall in his race in the Masters of F3 at Zandvoort.
Shaaban started the second season of A1 Team Lebanon in racing when he took part in the A1GP season opener in Zandvoort, The Netherlands.

After graduation from Berkeley In 2004, Shaaban started participating with Formula Ford 1800 and Formula Renault 2000 in the USA as well as Formula Ford 1800 in the United Kingdom. Shaaban became one of the first Arab to take home a victory in the Formula Ford 1800 race in Europe.
Shaaban is one of the A1 Team Lebanon’s drivers during the first year of this series along with Khalil Beschir as well as American Graham Rahal. None of the drivers earned any points, but Shaaban was the highest-finishing Lebanon position of the season at the Feature race in Estoril in the 11th position of 24 competitors.
