In his time in Stamford Bridge, del Horno was involved in 34 overall games and scored a goal in a match against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane winning 2-0 on the 27th August of 2005. On the 22nd of February, at the end of the first quarter of an UEFA Champions League round-of-16 clash at home against FC Barcelona, he received an immediate red card for an offence against Lionel Messi, as his team lost the game 1-0 and the tie 2-2.
