Arman Yeremyan, born 29 January, 1986 at Yerevan, Armenian SSR. He took up taekwondo under Arsen Avetisyan. He took part in and was the champion of international junior competitions. He took home bronze and silver medals in the European Youth Championships in 2001 and 2003. Yeremyan was awarded three medals in bronze in the Universiade in 2005, 2007 , and 2009. The most notable achievement for Yeremyan was his gold medal win in the 2008 European Taekwondo Championships in Rome, Italy in the men’s world-class (78 kilograms) division. He set a record as the first Armenian Taekwondoist to win an European Champion.

Yeremyan was the flag-bearer for Armenia during the 2012 Summer Olympics and was only the sixth Olympian to carry the national flag of Armenia during the Summer Olympics. Albert Azaryan was originally intended to fly the Armenian flag during the 2012 Olympics However, the choice was modified because of his age, as well as the honour was transferred to Yeremyan instead.

Yeremyan has won gold during the 2012 European Taekwondo Olympic Qualification Tournament in Kazan, Russia, qualifying him for the 2012 Olympic Games in London. In the tournament the winner was eventual Olympians in 2012 Olympic gold medallist Nicolas Garcia and Tommy Mollet. Yeremyan was also the first taekwondo athlete from Armenia to participate in the Olympics.

Arman Yeremyan (Armenian: Arman Eremyan ; born on 29 January, the year 1986) is an Armenian Taekwondo player. The athlete has the distinction of being an Armenian as well as a European Champion. Yeremyan was recognized with his Master of Sport of Armenia, International Class title.

In the opening round at the 2012 Summer Olympics at the Men’s world-class (80 kilograms) category, Yeremyan beat Canadian Sebastien Michaud in a rematch of his earlier defeat to Michaud. Yeremyan beat Dutchman Tommy Mollet once again in the quarterfinals. The semifinal was a close one, Yeremyan only lost one point Sebastian Crismanich of Argentina. Yeremyan had defeated Crismanich previously in an the previous match. Crismanich became an Olympic Champion. Yeremyan later lost the bronze medal match due to of the controversial scoring of Lutalo Muhammad from hosts nation Great Britain in a fight in which many of Yeremyan kicks were not counted, and many of Muhammad’s kicks shouldn’t be counted. Yeremyan had one of his head kicks in the closing seconds of the match which was not counted, sat stunned after the contest was concluded. He was fifth.

He won a silver medal at the 2016 European Taekwondo Championships in Montreux, Switzerland in the men’s middleweight (87 kg) division.
