Antonio Pinilla is one of the most popular and richest Spanish footballer who was born on February 25, 1971 in Badalona, Catalonia, Spain. Antonio Pinilla Miranda (born 25 February 1971) is a Spanish retired soccer player who played mostly as forward.

After regaining his health by himself, Pinilla was re-taken by Gimnastic during the 2003 winter transfer window. While he was unable to make it into the team even though the team was in Division Three, he quickly became the key player in Gimnastic’s return to the top tier and scored five goals over the last ten days in 2005-06 to make a historic transition back to their top of the league.

Pinilla served as captain during Gimnàstic’s short-lived spell in the top division, netting twice from 28 appearances for the last-ranked team, against RCD Espanyol (4–0 at home) and against Athletic Bilbao (2–0, away). On 11 September 2007, the club was proclaimed champion of the Catalonia Cup for the first time after a 2–1 defeat of Barcelona – the player, who started the final, netted one of the Grana.

The following campaign, Barcelona won the league and Pinilla appeared in seven matches, scoring a decisive goal against Valencia CF. He also played in the final of the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup, subbing in for veteran José Ramón Alexanko in a 1–2 loss against Manchester United.

Pinilla was removed in summer 1993. He then signed with CD Tenerife where he remained for seven years, helping his Canary Islands team to the semi-finals of the 1996-97 UEFA Cup. The club’s history books after scoring the club’s first goal in a European competition against AJ Auxerre on the 15th of September 1993. 1998-99 saw the club relegated, and the player subsequently joined the team into two divisions.
