Antonio Calabro is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on August 10, 1976 in Galatina, Apulia, Italy. Antonio Calabro (born 10 August 1976) is an ex-retired Italian professional footballer and coach, who is the head for Serie C club Viterbese.

On January 21, 2019, the coach was appointed the as the new head coach of Serie C outfit Viterbese, succeeding Stefano Sottili. He was dismissed on the 30th of April 2019 and was replaced by Pino Rigoli. As he was still on contract with this club on June 29, 2019 he was reinstated in the position of Viterbese head coach as preparations begin for 2019-20 Serie C season. He was released from his contract on the 20th of August, prior to the start of the season due to reasons related to family. He was hired by Viterbese again on November 12, 2019.

The Virtus Francavilla coach, Calabro achieved two promotions in succession, leading the club that was small to Salento to the Amateur Leagues into the professional levels in Lega Pro, and then to be a part of the playoffs for promotion in this year’s Lega Pro after ending the season with a stunning fifth position in last place in the league table. The club was disbanded at the conclusion of the season. He repeatedly took up an invitation from Serie B team Carpi in the season 2017-18. After the conclusion of the season, he resigned the Emilia-Romagna team, and got replaced with Marcello Chezzi.

Calabro’s football career began as a player in the youth ranks of Lazio and Calabro only played once as a substitute who was not used in the Rome derby with Roma on the 24th of October, 1993. Following that, he quit Lazio to join Serie C1 outfit Casarano, and was able to spend the bulk of his time in the lower levels in Italian soccer (mainly Serie C1 and Serie C2) and the most notable achievement being only a single Serie B season with Castel di Sangro between 1997 and 1998. The club ceased to exist in the year 2012 following three seasons playing in amateur leagues before returning to Casarano.

In September 2012, he was appointed the new director for Eccellenza amateurs Gallipoli. In his second season under his charge, he won the promotion up to Serie D, but left the club shortly after to take a job offer from another Eccellenza team, Virtus Francavilla.
