Anne O'Brien is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on January 25, 1956 in England, United Kingdom. Anne O’Brien (25 January 1956 29 August 2016 – 25 January 1956) was an Irish association player and coach of football. She was a midfielder and was a member of the Republic of Ireland women’s national football team. She was also one of the very first Irish female to compete in professional soccer in a different country than Ireland. Her professional career started in France in France, playing for Stade de Reims, then relocated to Italy where she enjoyed the success she was seeking in Serie A teams including Lazio and Trani. After being certified as a coach at the Coverciano center, O’Brien was employed with the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) and was a part of Lazio as their manager.

In 1987, O’Brien had an absence from football to have the son of her, Andrea. After retiring from football, she moved to Rome. O’Brien continued to play football as a manager at Lazio as their manager in early 2000. (trained Lazio in 2005-06 and Women Civitavecchia in 2007-08) and then working with the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) as coach.

In 1999 son Andrea was playing in A.S. Roma’s youth team. O’Brien is reportedly a cousin of Johnny Giles and a more distant relative of Jimmy Conway. The League of Ireland footballer Ger O’Brien is Anne’s nephew. She died on 29 August 2016 in Rome, Italy after a short illness.

From the beginning in Lazio O’Brien was a winner of her league both in 1979 as well as in 1980, along with the Cup in 1977. Following the League was changed to a winter-only season, she was able to help Trani take home the trophy in 1984 League. Rejoining Lazio and playing with Pia Sundhage won the Cup again in 1985. In later years of her career, she was awarded three consecutive League championships, two with Reggiana (1989-90 and 1990-1991) as well as one together alongside Milan Salvarani (1991-92).
