On January 1, 1993 Kozlova along with Sedakova made a trip into America. United States to train on the basis of a temporary visa. they resided in the same family as Atlanta gold medalists as well as sisters Becky Dyroen-Lancer as well as Suzannah Bianco. After returning to Russia she took part in the 1993 European Aquatics Championships in Sheffield in August. In the end, leaving her Unified Team concept behind, Russia took on the competition as an independent nation. Kozlova was paired together with Sedakova for the last performance at the Sheffield competition and they re-enacted the success they had in 1991 and won the duet gold medal. This was the first Olympics the United States did not win a medal in synchronized swimming.
At the 2002 World Cup in Zurich, Kozlova won her first international medal as an American, winning bronze in the team competition. For the 2003 World Aquatics Championships in Barcelona Kozlova participated in three events. With new partner Alison Bartosik, she placed fourth in the duet competition. It was in Barcelona that Kozlova won her first world championship medals with a silver medal in the free combination team event, and a bronze medal in the team technical competition. For the 2003 Pan American Games Kozlova won two gold medals; with Bartosik she won the duet competition, and they both were part of the U.S. team that won the team competition.
Kozlova had success at two international competitions in the year 1991. In the World Cup in Bonn, she was awarded an Olympic bronze medal for the Soviet team. At the in 1991 at the European Aquatics Championships in Athens she was paired along with Olga Sedakova to win the gold medal in the duet competition. In addition, the Soviet team also took home the gold medal for the team. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, twelve of the former Soviet Republics decided to join forces at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona as the Unified Team. Kozlova was selected to perform in both contests both solo and duet in a duet with Sedakova.

Anna Kozlova (Russian: Anna Kozlova born on 30 December 1972) is an ex- synchronized swimmer who took part at three Olympic Games. After competing at 1992’s Summer Olympics in London and winning the four European Championships representing the Soviet Union and its successor organisations, she left in America in 1993.
