Anna Elzbieta Fotyga [‘an:a fo’tiga] ( listen ) nee Kawecka (born 12 January 1957 in Lebork) is a Polish politician, currently serving as a member in the European Parliament. She was minister of foreign affairs in Poland and in the subsequent Cabinets of Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz as well as Jaroslaw Kaczynski between (2006-2007) as well as Chief of the Chancellery Office of president (2007-2008).

Following the downfall of the Kaczynski administration in 2007, she was replaced by Radoslaw Sikorski as the foreign Minister for Poland.

From 2014 until 2019, Fotyga served chair of the European Parliament Subcommittee on Security and Defence. She has since been a full member of both the Committee on Foreign Affairs and its Subcommittee on Security and Defence.

In 2015, news media reported that Fotyga was included in a Russian blacklist of prominent people from the European Union who are not allowed to enter the country.

On May 9, 2006, Fotyga was named the Minister for Foreign Affairs in Poland. Republic of Poland by President Lech Kaczynski. She succeeded Stefan Meller. Opposition members criticized her administration for having the policy of isolation with respect to Russia as well as Germany. On the 7th of September, 2007, Fotyga was removed from her post , but was appointed to her post that same day. as a result, the president and the prime minister did not have to dismiss her through a censure vote that was drafted in the Civic Platform three months earlier.
