Anil Kumar Mandal (Nepali: anil kumaar mnddl ) (born 5 February 1991) is a Nepalese cricketer. Mandal is an opening batsman with a right hand. His debut was made for Nepal against the USA in February of this year.
He scored 100 runs on 93 balls during the 2015-17 World Cricket League Championship’s game against Scotland it was the most impressive score for an Nepalese player in the List A format.
In the 2015 National One Day Cricket Tournament, he scored 429 runs in 7 innings at an average of 61.29, with one fifty and three centuries. He was awarded the Best Batsman award as his side, Nepal Army Club, won the title.
Anil Mandal became the fifth Nepalese cricketer to score an international century, when he slammed 113 off 134 balls against Denmark during the 2012 ICC World Cricket League Division Four in September 2012. He is the only Nepalese player to score two centuries for Nepal in international cricket. He achieved this feat after scoring a century in the 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship’s match against Scotland on 29 July 2015.
The month of August, 2012 was the time he was picked as one of Nepal’s fourteen players to play in the World Cricket League Division Four in Malaysia. He played six times during the tournament, scoring 186 runs, with the rate of 37.20 and a record score of 113 against Denmark. Mandal was picked in the Nepal Under-19s 14-man team for the 2008 World Cup for Under-19s which included the six Youth One Day International appearances during the tournament. In the year 2010, Mandal was picked for Nepal’s fourteen-man team for the World Cricket League Division Five in 2010. World Cricket League Division Five in February of 2010, making his debut as a senior player at the tournament, in a controversial game in the match against United States. Both teams made it to the finals of the tournament, and Mandal was the second player at the tournament. In April that year, he was a part of Nepal at the ACC Trophy Elite, making six appearances. Nepal was able to finish the tournament fourth and was therefore was able to participate in the 2012 World Twenty20 Qualifier in the United Arab Emirates. He was selected for the World Twenty20 Qualifier in February 2012. received a selection as a member of Nepal’s fourteen man team of the World Twenty20 Qualifier, making his Twenty20 debut in this tournament in Afghanistan. He was a part of five other appearances in the tournament, and his final appearance in the match against Papua New Guinea. He scored 124 run at an average 20.66 in the six games as well as a record-breaking mark of 50. It was his sole half century in the tournament, and was scored against Afghanistan. Nepal was able to finish the tournament seventh and did not be eligible for 2012’s World Twenty20.
He made his Twenty20 International debut for Nepal against the Netherlands on 3 July 2015.
